Park and streetscape work

Wollongong City Council maintains $1.1 billion worth of assets in our local government area. These assets include parks, foreshore areas and sports fields, as well as the many important streetscapes of our commercial areas.

Like many local government authorities around Australia, we face the major challenge of keeping up with maintenance of our city’s ageing infrastructure. To help address this issue, we’ve introduced a special program that focuses additional resources on infrastructure maintenance and development.

Park and streetscape improvement projects around the city continue to be identified as issues of high priority and concern to our residents. Project proposals included in our long term priority program are outlined on the proposals page.
