Draft Corrimal Town Centre Revitalisation Strategy
Council is seeking community feedback on the Draft Corrimal Town Centre Revitalisation Strategy. The draft Strategy seeks to develop a revitalisation strategy to address the urban design and transport framework of the centre.
Corrimal is the Major Town for the northern suburbs of the Wollongong LGA. Corrimal has a population of approximately 10,000 people, however the catchment area for the town centre encompasses approximately 50,000 people.
The draft Strategy is on exhibition until 9 October 2009.
Copies of the Council report and draft Strategy can be downloaded, or viewed at the Council Administration Centre, Wollongong Library or Corrimal library. A free CD containing the documents can be obtained from the Land Use Planning Team.
A public drop-in Information Session will be held at Corrimal Community Centre on Wednesday 23 September 2009 from 4 to 6pm. Land owners and other interested persons are invited to come and ask questions about the draft Strategy.
A public forum will be held at the Corrimal Community Centre on 23 September 2009 commencing at 7pm.
Submissions on the draft Corrimal Town Centre Revitalisation Strategy are welcome and should be sent to Council by 9 October 2009.
