Draft Local Environmental Plan - replacement dwellings

A draft Local Environmental Plan to amend the Wollongong Local Environmental Plan 1990 is on exhibition for public comment. The amendment seeks to amend Clauses 14 and 14A of the Wollongong Local Environmental Plan 1990 to enable the replacement of existing dwellings that have been lawfully constructed in Zones No. 1, 7(a), 7(b) and 7(d).

Council endorsed the draft LEP for consultation and exhibition on 23 September 2008. 

The draft LEP will be available for inspection at the Land Use Planning Division (Level 3) of Council’s Administration Building, 41 Burelli Street Wollongong, during working hours (9am to 5pm Monday to Friday).

Copies of the documents can also be viewed on the right and at Wollongong City libraries. 

The public exhibition will commence on Monday 24 November 2008 and will close on Wednesday 24 December 2008.

Any person may make a submission for or against the draft plan. Submissions should be submitted to Council by 24 December 2008. Where a submission is made by way of objection, the grounds for objection should be specified in the submission.
