Policy for commercial fitness training activities on public open space

People exercising outside

During February 2009 Council asked the community for feedback on a draft policy regarding Commercial Fitness Training Activities on Public Open Space.

The draft policy was put on public exhibition and Council consulted with fitness training operators and the general community to provide feedback on the policy.

As at the extraordinary meeting of Council on 4 August 2009, Council resolved to adopt the Policy for Commercial Fitness Training Activities on Public Open Space.

A copy of the adopted Policy is on the right hand side under related policy.

In addition to this Council requested that further consultation be undertaken with the community in relation to Sunday activities.

Council would now like your feedback on commercial fitness training activities on Sundays on public open space.

A community feedback form is available under the related documents on the right hand side.

All comments must be received by Friday, 18 September 2009.
