Draft Late Night Premises Development Control Plan

A draft Late Night Premises Development Control Plan is on exhibition for public comment. The draft DCP forms part of a coordinated approach to reducing alcohol related crime in the city centre. The formal planning controls will also ensure greater consistency in Council’s decision making relating to late night premises.

Council endorsed the draft DCP for consultation and exhibition on 16 December 2008.

The draft DCP will be available for inspection at the City Planning Division (Level 4) of Council’s Administration Building, 41 Burelli Street Wollongong, during working hours (9am to 5pm Monday to Friday).

Copies of the documents can also be viewed on the right and at Wollongong City library. The public exhibition will commence on Monday 22 December 2008 and will close on Monday 16 February 2009.

Any person may make a submission for or against the draft plan. Submissions should be submitted to Council by 5pm on Monday 16 February 2009. Where a submission is made by way of objection, the grounds for objection should be specified in the submission.
