Stanwell Park Reserve and Bald Hill Lookout - Draft Plan of Management

Wollongong City Council has developed a DRAFT Plan of Management for the Community and Crown Land at Stanwell Park Beach Reserve and Bald Hill lookout. The draft plan will on public exhibition for a period of 60 days, from 30 March until 29 May 2009. Council welcomes comments and submissions on the draft plan.  

You can view a  copy of the draft plan, flyer and and frequently asked questions sheet on this webpage or obtain a hard copy of the draft plan by visiting one of Council’s Library branches or visit the Stanwell Park Beach Kiosk Cafe (100 hard copies will be available at from 30 March 2009 until the supply runs out). 

You can have your say on the draft plan by:

• attending one of the two public hearing sessionsto be held at the Helensburgh - Stanwell Park Surf Life Saving Club Building on Thursday the 14 May 2009 at 7 pm or Saturday the 16 May 2009 at 2pm. 
• attending a public hearing is a way to give a verbal submission rather than a written one.  An independent chairperson will submit a report on the issues raised in both sessions to Council.

Council Officers have attended the following Neighbourhood Forum meetings to discuss the draft plans:

• Area 1 at Helensburgh Community Centre on 8 April 2009 at 7pm
• Area 2 at Coledale RSL on 1 April 2009 at 7pm

Council also held information kiosks at the Thirroul Seaside Festival on Saturday 4 April 2009 from 11am to 1pm and at the Stanwell Park Beach Reserve in the open area next to the Kiosk café on Sunday 5 April 2009 between 11am and 1pm.
