What's happening at the Library?


MOBILE LIBRARY TIMETABLE CHANGES

Until the end of December 2009, the following changes to the Mobile Library timetable will take place:

Week 2: Friday

Fairy Meadow 11am-11.30am  CANCELLED

Corrimal (near 19-31 Eager Street) - WILL NOW VISIT 1pm-1.30pm

These changes will take place from Friday 6 November. We apologise for any inconvenience.

FREE Wifi HOTSPOT

Free WiFi Hotspot is now available at Corrimal, Dapto, Thirroul, Warrawong and Wollongong libraries. Members and visitors with their own laptop/notebook can access the wireless network in these libraries during opening hours.

Author Talk - Judy Nunn

Join one of Australia's best loved authors, Judy Nunn, for a literary aftrernoon tea hosted  the Wollongong City Library. Judy will talk about her new book Maralinga which is a story about five souls who all find themselves in a violent and unforgiving landscape; infected with the unique madness and excitement that only nuclear testing creates.  Copies of the book will be available for purchase on the day and Judy will be happy to sign them.

A Literary Lunch with Susan Duncan speaking about her recent book, Life on Pittwater.

When: Friday, 6 November
Time: 11.30am for 12noon
Where: Villa D'Oro, 39-41 Flinders Street, Wollongong
Cost: Members $38  Non-members $40

Toddler Time

This program provides 30 minutes of FUN and stories, songs, finger plays and movement rhymes and is designed especially for children aged 2 to 3.

A literacy initiative for babies. 

Storytime
Recommences at most Branches in the first week of February.  Dad's and Grandad's Storytime will run again at Dapto on the first Saturday of the month

Dads and Grandads Storytime at Dapto

Every Saturday 10-10.30am.  This program comprises stories, songs and finger rhymes and is lots of FUN for you and your child.  The program is designed specifically for 3 to 6 year olds.
