Sculpture in the Garden is a biennial outdoor sculpture exhibition held in Wollongong Botanic Garden​
The exhibition provides an opportunity for artists to showcase their work in a beautiful and unique botanical garden setting. The inaugural exhibition and $30,000 acquisitive award began in 2016 and featured local, national and international artists. Finalists also vie for the Gardener’s Choice and People’s Choice Award.

Wollongong Acquisitive Sculpture Award 2020

Applications are now open for the 2020 Wollongong Acquisitive Sculpture Award. The exhibition will run over eight weeks in the Wollongong Botanic Garden from 4 April to 31 May 2020.
To apply for the 2020 Award, follow these steps:
1. Before you apply you should read the Terms and Conditions of the Award.

2. Register for Council's Online Services. We'll email you a user name and temporary password after two business days. For Technical Support in registering please call 4227 7675.

3. Once you have registered, you can apply online.

Benefits of registering for Councils online services:

  • Saving un-submitted applications to edit and submit at a later date
  • Auto population of name details, the system will recognise your company/organisation information when you sign in and pre load this information.
  • Keep a record of all applications which have been lodged and track their process.
The winner of the Wollongong Acquisitive Sculpture Award has their work permanently installed in the Wollongong Botanic Garden.
