The “Employ-ABILITY Local Stories Project” features short stories of local people with disability in paid employment, of the challenges they faced in attaining employment and the difference employment has made to their lives. The storyboards were launched as part of International Day of People with DisAbility 2017.
The Project aligns with Council’s Disability Access Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2016-2020 to undertake initiatives that raise awareness about the positive contribution people with disability make to the workforce.
Council would like to thank the participants who shared their stories as part of the project.
