Small Cultural Grants

Wollongong City Council makes funds available under its Cultural Grants Program through its Financial Assistance Policy Part B, to individuals and non profit community groups working in the local cultural industry for music, performing arts, visual arts, crafts and other local cultural initiatives.

Artists and communities who are Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD), and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders are encouraged to apply. It is desirable, but not essential that your project involves contribution to the Viva la Gong Festival.

The Cultural Grants Program seeks to ensure that Council fulfils its commitment to act as a catalyst in the development of cultural services and programs for residents of the Wollongong Local Government Area (LGA).  Innovative projects that contribute to the cultural development of the area are encouraged.

Priority is given to cultural activities and services that are not already provided in the LGA by other community organisations, individuals or businesses.
