Helensburgh Community Centre

Helensburgh Community Centre will be permanently closed and demolished due to ongoing building issues, including significant mould.

Over the past 10 years, we’ve done a series of works to investigate and try to fix these challenging issues. The existing problems have also been worsened by ongoing wet weather in 2022.

For the health and safety of the centre’s users, we have made the difficult decision to permanently close the building and arrange for its demolition.

Once the building is demolished, we’ll turn the site into a green space for the Helensburgh community.

We are also working on plans for a new combined community centre and library for Helensburgh and the surrounding area. Construction is planned for 2025-2027. We’ll share updates about this project with the community when more details are available.
