Since our last update, we've installed more protective anodes in the pool shell and balance tank. These anodes connect the reinforcement in the concrete walls and provide increased protection to prolong the life of the pool. All up, there will be over 850 individual anodes when this work is finished.

Work in the amenities building is also continuing well. The new adult accessible change facility has been screeded and sheeted ready for tiling. Tiling and walls have been completed in the male and female toilets and changerooms. Next up, we'll be working on the fitout to get these rooms ready to use.

In the plant room, new pumps and filters are arriving. You generally won't see these when you're visiting the pool, but you'll be able to enjoy safer and cleaner water when we reopen, thanks to the new pumps and filtration equipment.

Outside, landscaping works outside are going well, with the arrival of some new umbrellas and plants coming in the next few weeks.

In some other news, after listening to community feedback we've decided not to render the exterior of the pool building. Instead, we'll keep the original look and feel of the brickwork to preserve its character.  We'd like to thank everyone for their feedback, and ongoing interest in this project.
