Making Stories - Creative Workshops with Garry McDougall

Explore the wonder of place with Corrimal Library & Community Centre Artist in Residence Garry McDougall.

Participants will create poetry, photos and works of art inspired by the local sights and sounds of Corrimal, which will be made into take-home books and images.

No special skills required. All you need to participate is a camera and availability to attend six workshops on Fridays from 12pm – 2pm, commencing 29 July. Lunch will be provided.

Garry McDougall was the recipient of Wollongong Art Gallery’s ARTWARD: Art in Unusual Places Artist Residency Project.  He is an author, photographer and mixed media artist, and won the Peter Cowan Short Story Prize in 2015 for his story, ‘Patting the Dog’.
