Illawarra Stories
Learning doesn’t always have to be in a formal, structured way – we can learn new things by listening to other people’s stories and experiences. The Local Studies team are always hard at work updating the Illawarra Stories page with new oral histories from members of the public that document the social and cultural history of the Illawarra.
We have a wide selection of histories to start listening to, such as that of Aunty Lorraine Brown:

Beyond Empathy
Local podcasting group Beyond Empathy have a suite of podcast offerings that are recorded and produced in the Illawarra. Improve Your English
The Library also has resources to help improve your English. Get you started on your IELTS journey with the Road to IELTS website, which is free for library members. You will need your library card number – please contact us if you don’t know it.
