Welcome Hour is a free monthly program hosted by Corrimal Library designed for families and persons living with autism and additional needs. It runs on the second Monday of the month from 4pm to 5pm.
This program is a great way to engage your family in activities that will support the development of social play in our inclusive library space. Activities range from social storytimes, crafts and toys to learning how to use the library. You can participate in as many or as few activities as you like.
If the library is too noisy for you, the Flame Tree room is available as an extra quiet space.
We encourage you to let us know how we can best accommodate you during this time - if there's a certain game you would like to play, a favourite topic you would like us to show you, or if you have any questions, we're here to help. Please let us know when booking in.
For more information, call Corrimal Library on (02) 4227 8179.
To see when the next Welcome Hour is happening, head to our events calendar.
Bookings are preferred, but not required. Reserve your spot via Eventbrite.
Please note: Welcome Hour was previously known as Sensory Time.
Social story
We've made a social story to help people visit and attend Welcome Hour at Corrimal Library.
Please note: this event may be photographed. If you would not like your photograph taken, please let us know when reserving your free ticket and at the library.
