Programs for Young People

There's plenty to do at our libraries for young people aged 12 - 24 years.

As well as regular programs, we have fun one-off events including trivia, cosplay and pop culture meet-ups.

Regular programs

Teenz Connect

Head to Warrawong Library on Thursdays between 3:30-4:30PM for fun after-school activities organised by the Wollongong Youth Services team. Or, if you live further south, head to Dapto Library every Tuesday between 3.30-4.30PM.

Teenz Connect is for ages 12-18, and runs during school terms only.

You don't need to register, just turn up and join in!

Game On

If you want to get together with a group of friends and play board games, then Wollongong Library has you covered! Head to the library every 1st or 3rd Monday of the month between 6 and 8PM to play a range of board, card, or roleplay games. Bring your own or use one of ours!

We also have board games available to borrow and play in the library at any time - just as the staff at the counter for assistance.

SCARF Homework Help

SCARF Refugee Support offers Homework Help to give high school students extra help. If you are a school student from a refugee background, come to Wollongong Library for free help with homework, assignments and general school work.

Available Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-6pm at Wollongong Library. Runs during school terms only. Call SCARF on (02) 4229 7566 for more information.
