Many of Council's Community Centres and Halls are managed under a licence by not-for-profit community organisations. These groups generally operate on a tight budget, and rely on income from venue hire, which has been impacted by COVID-related closures and capacity limits.
To help these groups continue to meet their essential operating expenses, like utilities, cleaning, security and waste management, we offered financial support up to a maximum of $5,000 for each licence in the 2021-2022 financial year.
