Unanderra Library & Community Centre gets a new look
Work will start this week on an update to Unanderra Library and Community Centre’s paintwork.
The project is expected to take about three weeks, provided there is good weather.
The improvements will include a colour change to the building’s main exterior walls to a vintage beige, which is in keeping with heritage advice.
The faded murals on the building have reached the end of their life and will be painted over as part of the project. By completing the painting work now, we’re ensuring the surface is prepared for possible future creative opportunities.
The library will remain open during the work, along with the Unanderra Community Centre.
Those planning to visit the library will need to book in their 50-minute visit, and comply with the NSW Public Health Guidelines. Bookings can be made by calling the library directly on 4271 1217.
Unanderra Community Centre can be contacted on 4271 2213.
In addition, from Monday 29 June, there will be further changes to the way customers are able to visit our libraries. From this date, customers will be able to make two bookings per day, each 50 minutes in length. These bookings can be in consecutive timeslots.
Customers will also be able to book a time to use the computers at all branches except Helensburgh and Unanderra Libraries.
