A Message To Our Community
To Our Community,
As a community we’re currently facing a challenging and difficult time. Due to this situation I thought I’d take the opportunity to write to you to share how we at Wollongong City Council are approaching the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Our number one priority is, and continues to be, serving the community of Wollongong. We are actively focussed on the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff and volunteers, their families and our community. This situation does not affect our commitment to you.
Information and advice about Coronavirus is evolving quickly and we’re monitoring and responding to this fast-moving situation. We encourage everyone to continue to follow the advice of the Australian Government and NSW Health when it comes to your personal health and wellbeing.
We assure you we have plans in place to support the continued delivery of services to you. As we negotiate our way through this time we are constantly reviewing our plans to ensure that we are prepared for any situation. This may require us to change, reduce or postpone services at short notice. If there is a requirement to adjust our services, these changes will be clearly communicated through Council’s Facebook page and on our website.
We’re proud to serve the community of Wollongong. If you have any questions or feedback please don’t hesitate to call us on (02) 4227 7111, visit www.wollongong.nsw.gov.au or email me at admin@wollongong.nsw.gov.au.
Thank you and take care.
Greg Doyle, Wollongong City Council General Manager
