Parking for Wollongong CBD special events

The Wollongong CBD comes alive year-round with a range of music, community, cultural and sporting events.

Whether you're coming to watch an international act, supporting your local sporting team or enjoying a free community event, it's important to plan your transport ahead of time.

See below tips to help you park during special events at some of our city's key venues - WIN Entertainment Centre, WIN Stadium and Illawarra Performing Centre (IPAC).

Important tips

WIN Entertainment Centre and WIN Stadium

WIN Sports and Entertainment Centre can get busy on event days, so we recommend arriving early to park and walk. There are many Council car parks and on-street parking available within a 5 to 15-minute walk of the venue. This includes:

The walk from Wollongong Train Station to the stadium takes about 15 to 20 minutes. There are also may bus stops close to the stadium, with the free Gong Shuttle (number 55) available depending on the time and day you're heading in.

Illawarra Performing Arts Centre (IPAC)

There are bus stops directly out front of IPAC, which includes the free Gong Shuttle (number 55) route. The walk from Wollongong Train Station to the venue takes about 15 minutes.
