City of Wollongong Giving Tree Appeal and Bikers Toy Run
10 November - 5 December
Our much-loved City of Wollongong Giving Tree Appeal and Bikers Toy Run helps to make Christmas brighter for those in our community who are doing it tough.
To keep everyone safe, we're encouraging online donations directly to our two charity partners. We'll also have a range of local drop-off points, including two outdoor options. See below for details.
How to donate
Links to donate directly to our charities can be found below.
You can also drop off unwrapped gifts suitable for ages 0-16 years, or gift cards, at these locations:
- Dapto Mall, Moombara Street
- Corrimal Village, 270 Princes Highway
- Warrawong Plaza, corner of King and Cowper streets
- Wollongong Central, 200 Crown Street
- Crown Street Mall, Wollongong (outdoor location)
- South Coast Floor Coverings, 299 Keira Street, Wollongong (outdoor location).
Gifts need to be dropped off by Sunday 5 December so they can be quarantined and safely distributed in time for Christmas. Online donations can be made at any time.

The Joyful Project
We invited people to share images of things that brought them joy - and now they're part of a free outdoor exhibition in Crown Street Mall this festive season!
Check them out next time you're in the Mall, or visit the Joyful Project page for more information.
Letters to Santa
All of our library locations have a special mail box for you to send letters to Santa! Letters need to be posted by Friday 10 December, and should include your name, age and address so Santa can write back.
Please note: people over 16 years of age must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to enter our libraries. If you are over 16 and not fully vaccinated, you can place letters to Santa in the return chute and our librarians will make sure they are placed in Santa’s mailbox.
