SPIN FEST: Ride the Past Exhibition
A collection of migrant and refugee cycling stories from the past and present.
The Ride The Past project has collected and recorded the stories of migrant and refugee cyclists living in the Illawarra. The stories highlight the diverse ways they have embraced cycling - before and after arrival to Australia. Stories range from elite sportsmen and women, to everyday people for whom cycling was a method of transport, a fun activity or a sense of freedom.
The exhibition will be displayed in the Crown Street Mall, in the windows of the former David Jones building, 165 Crown Street, Wollongong.
