Many of Council's Community Centres and Halls are managed under a licence by not-for-profit community organisations. These groups generally operate on a tight budget, and rely on income from venue hire, which has been impacted by COVID-related closures and capacity limits.
To help these groups continue to meet their essential operating expenses, like utilities, cleaning, security and waste management, we're providing financial support up to a maximum of $5,000 for each licence in the 2021-2022 financial year.
Licensees who'd like to apply for this support will need to complete an application and show their income and expenses.
We'll be contacting eligible groups directly to give them more information soon.
