Grant opportunities extended until 20 April for creative and cultural community initiatives

Wednesday 1 April 2020

Due to Coronavirus [COVID-19] and changing times, Wollongong City Council has extended the application period to close of business on Monday 20 April 2020 for our Financial Assistance Grants.

We know it’s extraordinary times and these grants aim to encourage all residents to think of different ways they can bring events to our community.

The grants offer event organisers, community bands, choirs and community arts organisations the chance to apply for financial support towards their next project.

Under Council’s Financial Assistance policy, community members may apply for funding to support events and projects that benefit the community. The grants on offer to the community are small cultural grants, sponsorship of community events, Connecting Neighbours grants and contribution to bands and choirs.

Applications for NAIDOC week grants are open until close of business on 8 May 2020. These grants aim to provide assistance for not-for-profit groups holding community events during NAIDOC week.

For more information and to apply for any of these grants go to Grants and Sponsorships on Council’s website
