Tech help, author talks, book clubs and more return to the Library

Thursday 10 June 2021

Libraries are back in the swing of things

We have something important to say to all Library lovers, sometimes borrowers, serial late returners, computer users, newspaper readers, last-minute-school-project-researchers, Storytime partakers and the rest of our Library visitors— we’ve missed you!

The good news is that all our libraries, from Helensburgh in the north to Dapto in the south, are open for business.

And even better news is that all your favourite library programs have made a triumphant return.

“Now we’re returning to a new normal, Wollongong City Libraries is keen to welcome Library regulars and new visitors to our libraries,” Wollongong City Lord Mayor Councillor Gordon Bradbery AM said.

“Your local library is one of the only places in the world where you can go, without having to pay, to access a range of great programs, resources, activities, events, information and more. Our libraries offer services that meet everyday needs for so many people across the Wollongong region.

“From Storytime to our after-school Lego club, sewing and craft workshops to movie screenings, book clubs to technology support classes — there really is something to interest everyone.”

For the full list of what’s on at your library, visit the Library Events Calendar. Simply filter your search by age, location, date or interest to find something new to try.
