At the Library
General Collection
We have an extensive collection of classic and contemporary fiction, non-fiction research materials, Personal Interest Projects (PIP) samples, and HSC study guides available for you to borrow. Browse and reserve your copies through our Library Catalogue.
Local Studies Collection
Explore the Illawarra, its people, history, and environment through our Local Studies collection. It is located on Level 1 of Wollongong Library. It includes a wide variety of materials, including a growing number of online resources.

Need a quiet space to study by yourself or in a small group? We have desks at all our libraries, and study rooms at Wollongong, Corrimal, Dapto, and Thirroul. See our Rooms for Study or Hire page for details.
Take 5 to Revive
HSC preparation can be challenging, so take a break from studying and take 5 at the library!
Enjoy free snacks and ease stress with mindful activities in a quiet space. These open sessions will provide access to fidget spinners and stress toys, and occasionally feature therapy dog visits! If the urge to study does arise, you can make use of our study guides, past exam papers, and online resources.
Take 5 to Revive will run during Term 3 at all seven of our library locations (Corrimal, Dapto, Helensburgh, Thirroul, Unanderra, Warrawong, and Wollongong) during opening hours.

Online Resources
Studiosity Study Help
Studiosity offers FREE on-demand homework help, feedback on assignments, and online chat support from qualified teachers and tutors. It also assists with online searches, finding study resources, job applications, interview tips, speech writing, and public speaking.

Research Platforms
You can access various research platforms via our website including newspapers, academic journals, and magazines. Platforms include NewsBank, Gale, Ancestry Library Edition, and Trove. Find out more via our online research page.
State Library NSW
As a member of Wollongong City Libraries, you can access the State Library NSW eResources and HSC resources. They also run regular talks and workshops useful for HSC students.
