Upcoming Comic Gong events
Comic Gong is marking its 10th anniversary in 2023 - with some exciting twists!
On Saturday 13 May, families are invited to take it back to where the Comic Gong origin story began at Corrimal Library. This Family Cosplay Day features craft, face painting, live entertainment and (of course!) cosplaying.
On Friday 19 May, our older Comic Gong'ers are invited to dance the night away at the inaugural Comic Gong Cosplay Ball. We’re anticipating some jaw-dropping costumes as Wollongong Town Hall opens its doors to a social evening of cosplay competitions, photobooths, dancing, live music, and more.
Comic Gong will return to the familiar single-day event format centred around the Wollongong Arts Precinct in 2024. See you soon, super humans.

The story so far...
Comic Gong started back in 2013 at Corrimal District Library and Community Centre. In 2014 it moved to Wollongong's city centre, and has kept growing like Giganta ever since.
Over the years we’ve hosted a heap of Comic Gong events, from hands-on cosplay workshops and visiting artist talks, to our major Comic Gong Festivals attracting over 10,000 visitors to the Wollongong Arts Precinct (that we know of - it's hard to count the ones wearing invisibility cloaks).
