Wollongong’s free comic and pop culture festival.

Comic Gong returns for a free, fun and immersive celebration of comics, cosplay, gaming and pop culture on Saturday 11 May from 10am - 4pm.

The packed line-up is bigger and better than ever, with a huge exhibition, live entertainment, cosplay competitions, fan group meet-ups, gaming experiences, workshops and more, with something for all ages.

Comic Gong takes place in the Wollongong's CBD across Wollongong Library, Art Gallery, Town Hall, Arts Precinct and the Lower Crown Street Mall.

The Backstory

Comic Gong started back in 2013 at Corrimal District Library and Community Centre. In 2014 it moved to Wollongong's city centre, and has kept growing like Giganta ever since!

Over the years we’ve hosted a heap of Comic Gong events, from hands-on cosplay workshops, visiting artist talks and a Cosplay Ball, to our major Comic Gong Festivals attracting over 10,000 visitors to the Wollongong Arts Precinct.
