Comic Gong OC Art Comp

An art competition celebrating local artists and their original characters.

For young people aged 12 to 24 years.

Have an original character ‘OC’ you’ve designed? This is your opportunity to show them off!

Enter your OC in this fun and friendly competition for your chance to win prizes and have your work be displayed as part of Comic Gong.

Whether you’ve just started your art journey, or are already a master of the pen, we’d love to see your creations.

Entries open 11 March - 19 April 2024.

Please read Entry Requirements and T&C's to ensure eligibility before submitting your work.

The judging will take place between 22 April 2024 and 3 May 2024.

Entrants will be notified by 8 May 2024.

Prizes

There are three main categories of awards.

Originality

Awarded to the design that represents a true out of the box creative idea.
Prize includes art pack and $50 gift card.

Technicality

Awarded to the design that shows exemplary technical skill and execution.
Prize includes art pack and $50 gift card.

Pizzaz

Awarded to five separate designs that show unique creative flair e.g. coolest hair.
Prize includes $25 Gift card.

All seven winners will receive a small standee of their OC.

Prizes and awards will be presented during the Comic Gong event, at the Art Gallery after the youth cosplay competition. In order to receive your prize, you or an authorised proxy must be available for the presentation.
