Reading Challenge 2023

Our annual Reading Challenge has begun!

As always, we've curated an exciting collection of reading prompts to inspire you to explore new, unique, and unusual books on our shelves. Keep track of your progress with our handy Reading Challenge bookmark, available at all library locations or download and print your own. Happy reading!

Booklover Giveaways

We'll be giving away some fantastic prizes throughout the year for people taking part in our Reading Challenge!

Our first giveaway from 17 April until 19 May was won by Amelia-Jayne for her photo and review of 'The Butterfly Collector' by Tea Cooper, for the prompt 'A step back in time'.

Our second giveaway from 19 June until 21 July was won by Srashta for her photo and review of 'Legends & Lattes' by Travis Baldree, for the prompt 'In a different world'.

Our third giveaway is on now and runs from 29 August to 29 September!

For your chance to go in the draw to win a booklover's prize pack, first read a book inspired by one of the 24 reading prompts below. Post a short (max 100 words) public review of the book to Instagram or Facebook , being sure to reference your chosen prompt. Tag us @wollongonglibraries (Instagram) or @wollongongcitylibraries (Facebook) and use #gongreads so that we can see it!
