Thirroul Library

Thirroul Library is our largest location in Wollongong's northern suburbs. It's in the Thirroul District Community Centre & Library building, a short distance from Thirroul Train Station.

  • Tuesday: 9.30am - 7pm
  • Wednesday: 9.30am - 7pm
  • Thursday: 9.30am - 5pm
  • Friday: 9.30am - 5pm
  • Saturday: 9.30am - 1pm
  • Sunday: closed

The after hours returns chutes at this library is open year-round except for public holidays.

Free off-street parking is available at Thirroul District Community Centre and Library. Enter from Phillip Street.

Public transport

Thirroul Library is 50m or a 1 minute walk to the nearest bus stop on Lawrence Hargrave Drive.

It is 140m to Thirroul Train Station.

Building access

Thirroul Library is within the Thirroul District Community Centre and Library building. There is ramp access to the centre and library, and automatic entrance doors.


An accessible toilet is available within Thirroul Community Centre, near the Centre administration.

Thirroul Library has one study room that can be used by up to six people.

The study room cannot be used for meetings, paid tutoring or commercial activities.
