Multicultural Services

Wollongong City Libraries provide a variety of programs, services and resources which are aimed at multicultural and linguistically diverse communities.

We have a Community Language Collection which contains books, DVDs and magazines in several languages. If we do not have the language you need, we can order books from the State Library of New South Wales.

The State Library of NSW has videos to help develop online and smartphone skills. Videos are available in English, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Cantonese and Arabic. Visit the State Library of NSW - Tech Savvy Seniors on YouTube to access these videos.

Learn English and improve your English language skills for study, work or everyday conversations. For more information, view our Improve Your English page.

Access thousands of children's books online in over 50 Languages Other Than English (LOTE). Learn more about LOTE for Kids.

Mango is an online learning system that lets you pick from more than 70 world languages. Learn more on the Learn a Language page.

Wollongong City Council's Language Services page has information on interpreter services and Council documents available in community languages. Language Aides may be able to help during Council business hours at Wollongong Library.
