Culture Mix Cultural Stalls and Food Stalls EOI

Culture Mix is a much-loved celebration of our city’s diversity, and it will be back on Saturday 20 September 2025 in the Wollongong CBD!

This one-day event will showcase and celebrate the vibrant and diverse community who call Wollongong home - through food, music, dance, art and workshops.

Following the success of our Culture Mix Bazaar and Food Fair in 2023 and 2024, we're excited to again offer places for authentic multicultural stalls in 2025!

There are a limited number of spaces available, so you will need to rate highly against the below selection guidelines to be considered.

We're looking for applications who:

  • Present an authentic and unique cultural food or art/craft offering
  • Represent authentic grass roots multicultural groups or organisations
  • Are based within the Wollongong area
  • Support the goals and guidelines of the Culture Mix festival to offer a program with diverse and balanced cultural offerings.

Please note, priority will be given to not for profit, community-based cultural groups or organisations.

Applicants will be assessed against the above selection guidelines. Successful applicants will be notified in June 2025.

Please note, submission of an expression of interest does not guarantee that your performance or activity will be included in the Culture Mix festival.

Fees and Charges

Due to changes in the funding arrangements for Culture Mix, we're unable to offer spaces in the festival's Bazaar and Food Fair free of charge.

This year, a fee will be requested of all stallholders and food stalls. The fee is determined by a sliding scale, which helps to subsidise charges for Not for Profit and Social Enterprises.

The fees and charges are as follows:

  • Cultural Stall (non-Food) – 3m x 3m - Not for Profit and Social Enterprises – Free of Charge
  • Cultural Stall (non-Food) – 3m x 3m - Commercial/Business - $150.00
  • Food Stall – 3m x 3m - Not for Profit and Social Enterprises – $95.00
  • Food Stall – 3m x 3m – Commercial/Business - $150.00
  • Food Stall – 6m x 3m - Not for Profit and Social Enterprises – $120.00
  • Food Stall – 6m x 3m – Commercial/Business - $195.00
