Council looks after many waterways and coastal areas across Wollongong. This includes creeks, lagoons, stormwater channels and of course our beautiful beaches.

Releasing fish in waterways
The NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) looks after fish and marine vegetation in our waterways. This includes managing fish releases, pest species and fish diseases.
It's illegal to to release fish into public waters without a permit, and heavy penalties apply.
