Road Safety

We are committed to keeping people safe when out on our local roads.

Road safety affects everyone, and we all have a responsibility to play our part. That is why we work with our community, schools, other councils, Police and Transport for NSW in shaping safer roads and footpaths across our city.

Wollongong City Council also partners with Transport for NSW, as part of the Local Government Road Safety Program, to support safety education programs and initiatives.

Some of the things we do to improve road safety include awareness campaigns, workshops for road users, make sure roads are well designed and manage local traffic rules.
