Wollongong Local Planning Panel

The Wollongong Local Planning Panel (WLPP) is an independent group of experts and community representatives who make decisions and provide advice about some types of Development Applications (DAs) or planning proposals.

The WLPP replaces Council's former IHAP (Independent Hearing and Assessment Panel) which was originally established in 2008.

The WLPP provides increased transparency, integrity and confidence in the development application assessment process.

It is also an independent hearing forum for applicants and people objecting to applications, giving them a greater sense of involvement in the assessment process.
