New Year’s Eve

Wollongong's biggest community event on the calendar is New Year's Eve. Held along Wollongong's picturesque foreshore at Belmore Basin, this event attracts over 25.000 people from our local area and neighbouring cities.

Wollongong's New Year's Eve community celebration is a fun, family-friendly event. Activities include carnival, food and entertainment, with the evening culminating with a 9pm fireworks spectacular.

Australia Day

Australia Day means many different things to people within our community. On this day, Wollongong acknowledges the diversity of our community by delivering an event that captures the essence of who we are and how we each contribute to the fabric of our wonderful city and community.

The event on 26 January is a family-friendly evening event programmed with entertainment, activities and food. The event finishes with an amazing fireworks display.
