School-Based Traineeships
A School-Based Traineeship combines paid part-time work, on-the-job training and an industry recognised vocational qualification for which you will gain credit towards the HSC.

School Work Experience
Applications for School Work Experience in Terms 3 and 4, 2026 have now closed.
All applications from Illawarra students will be considered by representatives of the Illawarra Careers Advisor Network and allocated to provide fair and equitable access to these opportunities.
Your Careers Adviser will confirm placement details if your application is successful.
If you have questions about School Work Experience, please speak to your Careers Advisor. They should always be your first point of contact. Any enquiries received directly from students or caregivers will be redirected to the relevant school Careers Advisor.
The next round of applications for School Work Experience placements will open in May 2027.
