Green Waste Drop-Off at Berkeley

We're holding a free green waste collection at Fred Finch Park, Berkeley.

This is a great opportunity to help prepare your property for the upcoming bush fire season, or just clear any garden organics that won't fit in your green lidded bin.

What you can bring

• Household green waste only, such as leaves, small branches and garden prunings - no tip trucks or commercial vehicles.
• Branches must be no more than 75mm in diameter, and no longer than roughly one metre so our compactors can handle them.
• No tree trunks.

Attending this event

• Enter from Bedford Street - note that there'll be no through-traffic to the stadium
• Drive into the car park and queue in your vehicle for your turn to unload. We will try to include as many people as possible, but if queues become too long, some vehicles could be turned away.
• For everyone's safety, please stay in your vehicle except when untying a load. Staff will be on hand to help.
• Green waste can be walked in, but it is preferred that you attend in a vehicle if possible. If you come on foot, please see the site supervisor for safe access.
• Please carry proof that you live in the Wollongong City Council area, such as a driver's licence.
