Free "spread-out" music festival hits all the right notes

Friday 16 May 2025

If you like your music live and local, you'll love Tune In!

Happening this Saturday, the free event will see more than 30 local music acts perform at cool and quirky venues across the Wollongong CBD.

Tune In is hosted by Wollongong City Council in partnership with the Live Music Office, One Music Australia, APRA AMCOS and the Australian Government through Music Australia.

Acting Lord Mayor of Wollongong Councillor Linda Campbell encouraged music fans to get behind this free celebration of all things live and local.

“Tune In is basically a spread-out music festival with local acts performing across venues in the heart of Wollongong. It’s all happening on Saturday 17 May from 1.45pm to 8.30pm,” she said.

“The team at Yours and Owls has curated a killer line up of local music with singer-songwriters Annie Hamilton, Joel Leggett and PIXIE, rockers Satin Cali, and duo Salarymen to name a few.

“Come along to see an act you know and love or perhaps discover a new favourite."

Cr Campbell explained the venues range from bars and burger joints to vintage shops and even a tattoo parlour.

“The best bit is entry is free and they’re all within walking distance of one another.

“You don’t need tickets. Just grab your mates, don your dancing shoes and turn up to Tune In”

The Wollongong CBD website has the full lineup of Tune In performers, times and locations.
