Wollongong City Council offers a Principal Certifier service at competitive rates. The cost will depend on your project and how many inspections and certificates are required.
To appoint Council as your Principal Certifier, you will need to make a Principal Certifier Appointment Application through the NSW Planning Portal.
You will be asked to log in or create an account to get started.
We recommend you have a copy of your Development Consent and Construction Certificate handy when you log into the portal as there is information on those approvals that may be needed as part of the application.
Depending on your project, other documents that may also be required including:
- A copy of your Owner Builder Permit or Home Building Compensation Fund Insurance
- A completed Certification Work Agreement Contract.
