Wollongong Local Planning Panel Meeting
The Wollongong Local Planning Panel (WLPP) is an independent group of experts and community representatives who make decisions and provide advice about some types of Development Applications (DAs) or planning proposals.
WLPP will consider the following development applications:
- DA-2024/604 - Towradgi Park, Towradgi and Corrimal Surf Club 1A Lake Parade, East Corrimal - Demolition of the existing gabion basket erosion protection system and reconstructing scour protection with a new basalt armour rock revetment
- DA-2025/302 – 473 Crown Street, Wollongong - Mixed -use – alterations and additions to approved consent (DA-2024/162) including affordable housing and continued use of community facility
- DA-2024/875 - 94-102 Kembla Street, Wollongong - Mixed use – demolition of existing structures, tree removal and construction of a seven (7) storey shop top housing development, including 57 residential units and basement level carparking
- DA-2024/701 - 13 Shoobert Crescent and 21 Harkness Avenue, Keiraville - Residential - demolition of existing dwelling, construction of a dual occupancy with swimming pool and Subdivision - Torrens title two (2) lots
- DA-2023/765 - 1-3 Stewart Street, Wollongong - Mixed Use Development – demolition of existing structures, construction of a 14 storey shop top housing development comprising of 27 units, basement parking and consolidation of allotments
- DA-2022/961/C – 160-164 Keira Street, Wollongong -Five (5) year approval is sought for the partial closure of Market Street, between Keira Street and Keira Lane (including northern footpath) to enable an annual New Year’s Event to operate in conjunction with the Illawarra Hotel Modification C - block party approval - additional dates

This meeting will be held at the Council Chambers, 41 Burelli Street Wollongong, and will also be streamed online via Council's webcasting site.
Members of the public can address the WLPP in two ways:
- Attend the meeting in person, or
- Address the meeting via Microsoft Teams.

Please note, each speaker will be allocated five minutes to speak unless extended time is agreed to by the Panel Chair.
