Through Our Lens invites young people living in Wollongong to capture and share their perspectives, skills and talents through images.
Works will be exhibited on panels on the exterior walls of Wollongong Youth Centre. Others will be displayed in the exhibition space inside the building.
Youth Week 2025 exhibition
We're inviting young people between the ages of 12 - 24 years who live in the Wollongong City Council area to submit an image to be part of the next Through Our Lens exhibition.
This exhibition will connect with themes of Youth Week 2025:
- Celebrating every young person's unique strengths
- Recognising your individual and collection power as our current and future influencers, leaders and decision-makers.
You can interpret this theme any way you like.
Entries are open until 5pm, Tuesday 1 April 2025.
Selected images will be exhibited at a date to be confirmed.
How to enter
Follow the steps below to take part in this project.
Take a photo or create your image, then get it ready following these guidelines:
- Images should be portrait (or tall) orientation. Images will be printed on very tall, narrow panels, at a 1:3 format ratio. You should try to compose and take your photo with this ratio in mind.
- Images must be at least 1000 pixels wide by 3000 pixels high, at the highest quality resolution possible.
If you don't have software to resize the image yourself, you can still submit it and we'll crop and / or resize it for you to fit the panels. - Please keep files under 10MB as this is the maximum size our online form can accept.
- File format should be JPEG
- Please rename your image file before you upload it, so it's easy for us to know it's yours! We recommend using your name and / or the title of the image in the filename.
