Feel-good Foster Story: Simba and Jasper

In May 2024, two beautiful bonded brother kittens, Simba (ginger and white) and Jasper (black and white), came into our care after being found in Mangerton. Both kittens were in great health, leading us to believe they had been abandoned by their previous owners.

Despite the unfortunate circumstances, Simba and Jasper’s incredibly sweet and social personalities quickly won the hearts of our team. These playful brothers were inseparable, and we knew right away that they would need to be both fostered and adopted together.

The boys were placed in foster care with Andrea, one of our wonderful foster carers. From the moment they arrived, Andrea’s family—her two daughters and husband—instantly fell in love with Simba and Jasper. The kittens quickly made themselves at home, filling the house with laughter and joy. They spent their days playing together, chasing after toys, and exploring every nook and cranny. When they weren’t racing around, the brothers could often be found curled up next to Andrea’s husband as he worked from home, providing him with companionship and entertainment throughout the day.

While Simba and Jasper thrived in foster care, we were on the lookout for a forever home that would welcome both boys together. After a few weeks, a young couple came to meet the pair, and it was clear from the start that they were smitten. Simba and Jasper’s affectionate natures and playful antics immediately captured the couple's hearts. Before long, Simba and Jasper had found their forever home together!

Now, Simba and Jasper are enjoying a life filled with love and adventure in their new home. Their story is a reminder of the incredible difference foster care can make in helping animals adjust and thrive as they wait for their forever families.

We’re so grateful to Andrea and her family for giving Simba and Jasper the loving environment they needed, and to their new adopters for opening their hearts to these two sweet brothers!
