When you apply for a Construction Certificate, you will need to include development plans, construction specifications and any other details required in your development consent.

A Construction Certificate can only be issued if:

  • Your construction plans, including the materials and finishes to be used for the project, match your development consent, the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and any other relevant Australian standards.
  • All the relevant conditions of your development consent have been met.
  • You’ve paid any required development contributions, if applicable.

You can choose to apply for a Construction Certificate when you submit a Development Application. This can help speed up the process of getting started on work.
