Programs and Events for Young People

We're running programs at the Youth Centre and online to keep you entertained and connected.

To access any of these activities, send us a DM on Facebook, or Instagram, email us, or call (02) 4227 8222  between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

We may ask for a school ID or other information to confirm your age and location.

Celebrate NAIDOC Week with Nooky

portrait of NookyAs part of NAIDOC Week 2022 (3 - 10 July), Wollongong Youth Services presents First Nations superstar Nooky (Bad Apples Music, Triple J Blak Out).

The Yuin rapper, producer and radio host will present a series of free songwriting workshops in community. In these free sessions, Nooky will teach the next generation how to use hip-hop as part of their 'healing process'.

Activities will wrap up with with a free all ages event at Wollongong Youth Centre, where Nooky will be joined by upcoming local rappers Scraps and Blacx, and Barkaa’s tour DJ FLY WAVES.

Dapto Youth Connect

Starts 17 May! Come and hang out, play video games, pool, board games and more, for ages 12 - 18 years. Held at The Lair, Dapto Ribbonwood Centre.

Lounges, wi-fi, pool, table tennis, gaming, charging stations and more at Wollongong Youth Centre.

Bundaleer Connect

An arvo of sports, games and food. Get active and catch up with friends at Howard Fowles Park, Bundaleer Estate.

Big Screen Gaming

Come and play video games on the BIG screen in the Audi, plus snacks.

Youth in Fashion

Collaborate with local fashion designer Gina Barjeel to learn to sew and create your own clothing.

Girls Cafe

A fun program for CALD young women aged 12-18. Arts and craft, baking, sports and presentations from other services.

Wednesdays, 3.30 - 5.30pm
Acting Up

Get involved in theatre sports, drama activities and performance. Gain skills and confidence in fun interactive activities.

The Circus Series

Come along for some outdoor circus activities. Learn how to juggle, hula hoop, plate spinning and more.

Teenz Connect - South

Learn new stuff and meet new people. A range of activities including games, resume writing, self care ideas and more for young people aged 12-18 years at Warrawong Library.

Thursdays, 3 - 4.30pm
Hang Out

Lounges, wi-fi, pool, table tennis, gaming, charging stations and more at Wollongong Youth Centre.

Thursdays, 3 - 8pm
Youth Connect - North

Learn new stuff and meet new people. A range of activities including games, trivia and more for young people aged 12-18 years at Corrimal Library and Bellambi Neighbourhood Centre.

Thursdays (fortnightly), 3.30 - 5.30pm
Team Ignite

Boost the music and performance scene for young people. Learn skills in AV production, event management and promotion.

Thursdays, 4 - 5.30pm
On Stage

Local musicians and performers live on stage. Check our Facebook or Instagram for the gig guide.
