Wollongong regularly hosts community events for local Aboriginal communities and the wider public to come together and celebrate Aboriginal culture and history.
Local Government Regional NAIDOC Awards
The Local Government Regional NAIDOC Awards are an annual event that celebrates and promotes the achievements of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and organisations based in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven area.
The event is organised collaboratively by Shellharbour, Wollongong, Kiama and Shoalhaven councils.
