We've shared some questions and answers below that people often ask about hiring our community centres and halls.
Each location and each hirer is unique, so if you have a question not covered here, please get in touch with the location you're interested in to talk about your needs.
Prices vary based on each venue's size, included features, the type of event, and the time and length of use.
We try to keep costs as low as possible to make hiring accessible.
Discounts are available for not-for-profit community groups.
Check the page for the venue you're interested in to see current pricing or contact the centre directly for more information.
Please contact the centre you're interested in hiring to arrange a time to visit.
We also have photos and floor plans online for many centres. Visit our Community Centres and Halls page to see details for each centre.
All events held outside business hours require a security bond.
Bonds are refunded after the event if the Conditions of Hire have been met. This means that your event doesn't run over time, and that the venue is left how you found it, ready for the next user.
Keys also need to be returned on the next business day.
Payment methods may vary depending on the venue.
You'll receive an invoice once your booking is confirmed, which will include payment options.
Yes. most centres have kitchen facilities where food can be prepared and served on-site.
Most kitchens include fridges, ovens, cooktops and microwaves, as well as serving crockery, plates, cutlery and glasses.
You are also welcome to organise catering for your event, but please let us know ahead of time.
Kitchens must be left in the condition in which you found them, with all items cleaned and packed away.
Please note that our centres are single-use plastic free venues. Only plastic free disposable plates and cups are allowed. These items are available at most supermarkets.
Kitchens cannot be hired for commercial cooking purposes.
