Council has several off-street car spaces in the city centre that are licenced for people to use on weekdays between 6am and 5pm. Outside those times, these spaces can be used by the general public for free.
Car park licences can be in the name of companies or individuals.
Licenced car parks are at the following locations in Wollongong:
- Auburn Street
- Belmore Street
- George Street
- Keira Street
- Rawson Street
- Thomas Street
- Victoria Street.

Due to high demand and long wait lists, we are not currently taking new applications for licenced parking spaces.
We'll update this page when we are able to accept new applications.
In the meantime, we encourage people to use our metered car parks. See the Off-street parking section above for details.
Licenced car parking fees
Please note: the permanent parking fee listed below is the cost per month for a parking space. Payment is made monthly by Direct Debit.
Either party may terminate the agreement by providing one month's notice in writing.
