Areas where commercial fitness training licences can be issued are shown in the maps section of this page.

You can apply only for spaces that don't already have a licence issued. See the current licences section of this page for details of which areas are already licensed.

Please read our Commercial Fitness Training Activities on Public Open Space Policy PDF, 153.5 KB before requesting a licence.

Before you apply, please have details of the following ready:

  • Fitness Trainer Registration Number
  • Working With Children Check
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Public Liability Insurance Certificate (min. $20 million).

There are two ways you can apply.

Apply online

Before you can apply, you need to log in or register in our Online Self Service system. Please note, multi-factor authentication (MFA) will be required when logging into your account.

Once you are logged in, under Apply for..., select Permits or Licences then Personal Fitness Trainer.

Apply using PDF form

Complete the form below and return it to Council.
