We look after many sportsgrounds across our city.
We don't like closing sportsgrounds, but sometimes we need to for maintenance, events, or when play in wet weather could damage the surface. Clubs may also decide to cancel activities, even if Council hasn't closed grounds. Check with your sports club if you need to confirm whether play is going ahead.

A number of grounds that are owned by Council are managed by local sporting groups under licence agreements. We don't advise the status of those grounds here, as decisions to open or close them are made by the groups that manage them.
